Bike to Work Day!

We believe that bicycle activities can help promote health and recreation as well as have positive impacts on the community and environment. On a daily basis, we work to educate and advocate for a more livable, bicycle-friendly community.
Bike Month helps cyclists reach our goals by:

•getting more people riding more often more safely.
•increasing the voice and visibility of the cycling community
•leading the way toward improved facilities and the cycling environment.
•promoting cycling as a transportation alternative

Bike Month helps the Puget Sound Region meet its goals of encouraging more bicycling for transportation. Specifically the city of Seattle’s new Bicycle Master Plan specifies a goal of tripling the use of bicycling in Seattle for all trip purposes by 2017.

We also know that when there are more cyclists on the road, they are more visible, motorists are better prepared to deal with them, and the rate of accidents involving vehicles lowers. We also know that cycling for transportation is better for the environment and individual health. The more cyclists on the road, and the more visible we are, the more the city and county governments help us to improve facilities and conditions for bicycling.

Help bicyclists become more visible by joining us by riding through Bike Month... and beyond!

As part of the south end cycling community g.h.y. bikes will have a commute station not far from our shop on 6th-7th & Burnett Ave. S. in downtown Renton from 6-9am Friday May 15th! AJ & Jesse will be there supporting our cycling community, giving out free Starbucks coffee & swag from the shop!

Or come see us for all your commuting needs @
